Laura is Professor of Human Rights Law at the School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Monterrey, and Project Manager at the Institute of Human Rights and Business in the same university. Her research focuses on public policies and corporate practices on business and human rights. She has authored scholarly articles and book chapters on the aforementioned topics.
Additionally, she has professional experience in both private and public sectors. She is a former official of the Business and Human Rights Program at the National Commission of Human Rights in Mexico. Laura has experience advising companies, business associations, governments, and organizations throughout Latin America.
She holds a Master's Degree in Corporate Law from the University of Monterrey, as well as a Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democracy, from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO).
